Ogunquit Playhouse presents Ragtime the Musical

At the dawn of a new century, everything is changing… and anything is possible. This sweeping musical portrait of early twentieth-century America tells the story of three families in the pursuit of the American Dream. Set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York, three distinctly American tales are woven together.

Come Sailing!

If you’re looking to meet new sailing friends or want to introduce a friend to the joys of sailing, Friday Night Social Sailing at SailMaine is for you! All experience levels are welcome to go for a sail on a J/22. Friday Night Social Sails are a great way to get out on Casco Bay and meet other members of the Portland community. Come down and join the fun! $25 per person.

Walking Tour in Camden, Maine

The Camden Public Library and the Camden Downtown Business Group host free walking tours of downtown Camden every Friday at 4:00 pm from June 30 to September 8th. The tours begin at the Children’s Garden of the Camden Public Library on Atlantic Avenue and end at the Opera House. Take the entire tour or just show up at the Opera House front doors at 4:45 for a behind the scenes look at our beautiful restored interior and fun facts including a five minute historic slide show!

Ronan Tynan

We are thrilled to welcome back Ronan Tynan, an acclaimed Irish Tenor, largely known for his versatile repertoire. He sang with the Irish Tenors for several years, then started his solo career. Dr. Tynan has performed for four U.S. Presidents including President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush, as single soloist at the Funeral of President Ronald Reagan, and for President Clinton. As well, Dr. Tynan has sung for two Popes, Pope JohnPaul II at St. Peter’s Basilica and Pope Benedict at the Concert of Hope. He is also known for performing “God Bless America”.

Join us for a fun evening at SailMaine with a traditional lobster bake and live music by Jenny Van West, Maine songwriting winner.

Salt Bay Chamberfest Concerts

Salt Bay Chamberfest’s 23rd season, Move Me!, is about movement and music. Music has the power to move us emotionally, in the deepest and most profound ways. It can also move us physically, and even metaphorically. In this captivating season, we will explore these and other movements in, of, and about music, with an innovative array of chamber works by composers from J.S. Bach to the present day.

The Seal Who Came Home

The Camden Opera House in partnership with Maine Public and with the support of the Goodridge family will present for the fourth year in a row the PBS documentary “The Seal Who Came Home”. This heartwarming and unusual documentary depicts Andre’s 25 years spent living in Rockport with the Goodridge family The past two year’s showing was a community gathering and special evening. If you missed it, this is your chance! OR do as most of us do – come for the 2nd, or 3rd time to immerse yourself in this humorous and heartwarming community story.
