MEREDA 2017 Annual Forecast

This is an annual must attend event for anyone involved in the real estate industry. Each year MEREDA assembles Maine’s top real estate leaders to provide an economic overview and outlook on the profession’s key economic indicators, along with the popular marker overview by property type, focusing on both commercial and residential real estate forecasts.

The Jones Family Singers presented in collaboration with NAACP Portland

Bishop Fred Jones leads a talented line-up—including five daughters and two sons—that is electrifying churches and festivals alike for over two decades. Called a “must-see act” at SxSW 2014 by both Rolling Stone and NPR, their high-energy performances take gospel to a whole new level, infusing it with vintage soul, funk and R&B that will have audiences shaking their hips, clapping their hands and stomping their feet in a spiritually uplifting workout. With breakout appearances at Lincoln Center, New York City’s globalFEST, and The Kennedy Center—and a critically-acclaimed documentary—the Jones Family Singers are poised to take the world by storm.

Moonlight Challenge

Join us for an evening of friendly competition and fun on the ski slopes – all for the sake of supporting children in Maine and New Hampshire that are fighting cancer and blood disorders. This event is a fundraiser for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.

Recruit a team of four skiers or snowboarders (all ages welcome) and compete to be the fastest on the race course and to raise the most funds for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program. Incredible prizes will be awarded!

Following the race, participants are invited to the Base Lodge at Shawnee Peak for a buffet dinner, an awards ceremony, live music and dancing in the moonlight.

The cost to register is $250 per team – this includes 4 half-day lift tickets, 4 logoed neck warmers, admission for 4 to the post race dinner and entertainment, and the opportunity to compete for those amazing prizes. If you don’t have a team, don’t worry – you can register as an individual for $75 and we will place you on a team.

Portland Stage Company: Play Me a Story

Four to ten year olds are invited to enjoy a performance of 2 popular children’s books then explore these tales during an interactive workshop with our teaching artists. January is filled with stories of snowy adventures and birthday stories. We have two special events this month including an author visit, an illustrator visit, and Theater for Kid’s 7th Birthday Celebration!

JCT Trio

Three renowned visionary artists of the next generation combine talents in this eclectic new piano trio, JCT (pronounced ‘junction’). Violinist Stefan Jackiw, an Ovations’ favorite recognized for musicianship that combines poetry and purity with an impeccable technique, returns with pianist Conrad Tao and cellist Jay Campbell.
