Over the years, many couples—from here and from away—have celebrated their love by being married in Maine. Each February Maine Magazine celebrates love with its Wedding Issue, which tells the stories of these special couples. Leslie Oster and Kate Martin, who have been a part of countless special wedding days, today share their perspective about what it means to celebrate love in Maine.
Leslie Oster is the general manager and catering director of Aurora Provisions in Portland’s West End. Her passion for food led to her involvement with Cultivating Community, where she serves as a board member, as well as Slow Food Portland’s steering committee.
Kate Martin is the owner and creative director at Beautiful Days. Since 2005 Kate and her Beautiful Days team have been creating inspired, thoughtful and detailed weddings and special celebrations. With layered talents and experience in interior design, gardening, project management, photography and restaurant work as well as a true love for gathering nearest and dearest, Kate has a passion for creating unique, heartfelt and authentic celebrations.
