Inspired by the beautiful setting and charming, rustic interior of the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound, the design of this harborside ceremony followed by a Maine summer lobster dinner incorporated a palette of cadet blue, aqua, red, granite gray, and maize yellow. Vintage enamelware flower containers and blue enamelware dishes offered a nod to classic Maine lobster bake traditions, updated with red-striped linen hand towels to serve as lobster bibs. Nautical metal lanterns, net, and sea grass elements tie in the ocean side location. The handpainted table number is fashioned out of a found beach rock. Favors of handmade Maine salt water taffy are presented in authentic net bait bags, and dessert of wild Maine blueberry galette with handmade vanilla ice cream is a modern dessert option echoing the traditional blueberry cake often served with a lobster dinner in Maine.
