Dan Crewe is a United States Naval Academy graduate and a retired captain of the United States Air Force. Crewe is a co-founder of Gateway Mastering Studio in Portland and currently serves as president and chair of the Bob Crewe Foundation. He is on the board of the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine and is a trustee of the University of Southern Maine Foundation and a trustee of Maine College of Art. Crewe has previously served on the boards of the Susan Curtis Foundation, Portland Concert Association, Maine Audubon Society, Breakwater School, and Equality Maine. In the 1960s, Crewe and his brother Bob Crewe were successful music business leaders.
