Jon + Richard
REAL WEDDINGS-February 2013

October 1 | Kennebunkport
Rick and Jon were engaged on New Year’s Eve, on their favorite seawall spot where they had spent many summer nights enjoying the view. Working in Boston and living in Kennebunk, they were married in Massachusetts at a private ceremony held a few days prior to their Maine celebration at the Breakwater Inn with 105 loved ones, under a stunning glass tent with accents of navy and silver; sea-inspired, classic colors. They danced with their mothers and Rick’s daughter Olivia as DJ Jon Tron spun away. Sunday, everyone gathered for a farewell brunch as the couple departed for their honeymoon cruise from Athens to Istanbul.
“WE SET OUT TO DEFY CONVENTION WITH AN INTIMATE, SOPHISTICATED DINNER PARTY FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. AND THE GREAT SUPPLIERS WE WORKED WITH DELIVERED!”
Why…
Lilybrooke Events?
“When you attempt to put traditions aside and redefine your wedding to fit your vision as a couple, it can quickly become overwhelming,” says Rick. “Brooke did an outstanding job coordinating the details while Judy of Flora Fauna created a floral design that fit our style and personality.”
that food?
“We wanted our guests to experience a tasting menu from the White Barn Inn,” says Jon. “Chef Cartwright flawlessly executed a five-course tasting menu paired with premium wines.”
that stationery?
Elizabeth Robinson helped them design all the different, beautifully coordinated stationery items. The invitation was designed to appear as a travel dossier that included the invitation, menu selections, and schedule of events in a navy folder.
that venue?
The couple wanted to build the event around chef Cartwright’s unparalleled cuisine, and the Breakwater Inn is a stunning location.
that photographer?
Audra Medunitza-Welton was recommended to them and they both agree that she did an amazing job catching every special moment.
