Have you jumped on the mushroom foraging bandwagon this year and want to learn more about these fantastic fungi? Head over to the Maine Fungi Fest in Portland this Saturday! With a full lineup of speakers, workshops, live music, crafts, and food trucks, the festival will teach you everything you need to know about the medicinal properties of mushrooms, how to grow your own, and even discussions on the benefits of microdosing with psychedelics. Come with an open mind and reap the benefits of what mycology can teach you!

Do you love both beer and Maine makers? Great news! This Sunday, Baxter Brewing Company is hosting a Maker’s Market at the Pub at Baxter in Lewiston! With a full lineup of makers including Golden Souls Studios, Crowned Bee Candles, and Off Menu Pots, you’re sure to find a treasure to take home after you enjoy a Baxter beer or sip a specialty cocktail on the patio.

In case you hadn’t heard, Roll Call, the popular food truck started by the team behind Wayside Tavern, opened its brick and mortar space in Portland’s Public Market House last week! Open Wednesdays through Fridays, make sure to stop in for a delicious lunch of chilaquiles, a buffalo soy sandwich, or a grain bowl to fuel you during an outing in the Old Port.

Something to Watch:
This one is for all the frisbee fans out there: Maine’s professional ultimate frisbee team, Portland Rising, is playing Columbus Pride for their second game of the 2022 season in Yarmouth this Saturday! Grab your friends and head to the fields at Yarmouth high school to show Maine pride for one of the state’s newest professional teams (which was formed in 2020 but had to cancel its 2021 season due to COVID)!

Something to Look Forward to:
Ready for a fancy date night? Grab a reservation for the ten-course Cider Dinner at Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford! A collaboration between Absolem Cider Company and Oxbow Brewing Company, the ten course dinner will pair ciders from Absolem with dishes prepared by Oxbow Beer Garden’s head chef, Connor Schroeder. The evening will start with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. featuring appetizers and tastings of the ciders featured in the dinner.
