Raider’s of the Lost Ark

Archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is hired by the U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis. The year is 1936. An archeology professor named Indiana Jones is venturing in the jungles of South America searching for a golden statue.

Maine College of Art Lecture Series: Dyani White Hawk

As a woman of Lakota and European ancestry, White Hawk was raised among Native American communities with urban landscapes. Her work reflects these cross-cultural experiences through combination of modern abstract painting and traditional Lakota art forms.

Handel & Haydn Society: “Glories of the Italian Baroque”

Electrifying concertmaster/violinist Aisslinn Nosky leads an ensemble of 15 Handel & Haydn Society musicians in this glorious program featuring works by Locatelli, Brescianello, Vivaldi and Durante. Acclaimed for its performances of baroque and classical music, Boston-based Handel & Haydn Society embraces historically informed performance, bringing classical music to life with the same immediacy it had the day it was composed.

CIFF Selects: I Am Not Your Negro

In 1979, James Baldwin wrote a letter to his literary agent describing his next project, Remember This House. The book was to be a revolutionary, personal account of the lives and successive assassinations of three of his close friends—Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr.
