Spend a week in the wardrobe! Students in grades 3-5 can explore the world of C.S. Lewis’s classic The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe through games, artwork, and performance. There will be an invited open classroom on the final day of camp to share what the class has done.

Portland Stage Company: Play Me a Story

Farnsworth Art Museum: Women
In 2017 the Farnsworth is presenting two major exhibitions featuring the work of women who have played important roles in twentieth-century American art, both of whom also had deep connections to Maine: Marguerite Zorach and Louise Nevelson.

Maine Restaurant Week’s Incredible Breakfast Cook-Off
Do good while doing breakfast. Hosted by Sea Dog Brewing Co. and Maine’s Champions of Breakfast. This annual event, often referred to as Maine’s best breakfast, will be held at South Portland Sea Dog with 100% proceeds donated to Preble Street.
Maine College of Art Lecture Series: Abelardo Morell
Abelardo Morell was born in Havana, Cuba in 1948. Morell received his undergraduate degree in 1977 from Bowdoin College and an MFA from The Yale University School of Art in 1981. In 1997 he received an honorary degree from Bowdoin College.

Maine Academy of Modern Music Presents: Girls Rock!
Each March as part of Women’s History Month, MAMM hosts its annual ‘Girls Rock!’ concert. The event is a celebration of girls’ involvement in music and showcases the talents of MAMM’s female students. MAMM’s Girls Rock! show will include a combination of solo and full band performances.
Center for Grieving Children Auction and Dinner Gala
The Center for Grieving Children will host their annual Love Really Counts Auction & Dinner Gala. The evening of events includes silent and live auctions as well as dinner. This is the 30th year the Center provides loving support in Southern Maine.
