Come Sailing!

If you’re looking to meet new sailing friends or want to introduce a friend to the joys of sailing, Friday Night Social Sailing at SailMaine is for you! All experience levels are welcome to go for a sail on a J/22. Friday Night Social Sails are a great way to get out on Casco Bay and meet other members of the Portland community. Come down and join the fun! $25 per person.

Rustic Overtones w/ MYRO

Rustic Overtones’ early works “Long Division” ,”My Dirt (ep)” and “Rooms By The Hour”, were released independently through Portland based Ripchord Records. In 1999 they were discovered by Kurt St. Thomas at Arista Records. A few years earlier Kurt had been program director at Boston’s WFNX, and was the first to world premiere Nirvana’s “Nevermind” on radio.

Ogunquit Playhouse presents Bullets Over Broadway

The 1920s come roaring to life with showgirls, gangsters and more in this musical adaptation of Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath’s madcap film Bullets Over Broadway. Bullets Over Broadway is the hilarious musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show, filled with tap dancing gangsters, saucy showgirls, big laughs and colorful characters including an aging diva, a savant hit-man and Sally Struthers.

Colby College Museum of Art: Marsden Hartley’s Maine

This exhibition will explore Marsden Hartley’s complex and visually arresting relationship with his native state—from the lush Post-Impressionist inland landscapes with which he launched his career, to the later roughly rendered paintings of Maine’s rugged coastal terrain, its hardy inhabitants, and the magisterial Mount Katahdin.

Old Port Half Marathon & 5K

The Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon & 5K is Portland’s premier summertime running event that cuts through the heart of the Old Port district and West End neighborhood and features sweeping views of the Casco Bay its many islands, ferries, sailboats, lobster boats, tug boats, and paddlers, the Presumpscot River, the City of Portland skyline, and the Back Cove.
