A MAINE TRACK CLUB EVENT
Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay | Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 7:45 am | Portland, Maine
The Gorham Savings Bank Maine Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay event features an out-and-back course with rolling hills and views of the Portland skyline, the Back Cove, Casco Bay, and peak fall foliage. The Marathon is USATF certified and a Boston Marathon qualifier. The Half Marathon is also USATF certified and the Marathon Relay is a unique 2 to 4-person marathon-length event.
The Maine Marathon prides itself on being a community-run event that gives back to the community. Each year, we select a number of beneficiaries and make donations from the event proceeds. This year, the primary beneficiary is the Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is honored collaborating with Tim Rice and the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival on the rollout of the North American premiere of the epic new musical From Here to Eternity. Set in Hawaii in the weeks before 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, this epic tale follows the powerful story of two U.S soldiers, the soulful Private Pewitt and ardent Sergeant Warden, as they embark on doomed and dangerous love affairs with the wrong women.
Following last year’s incredibly successful event, please join in for an evening of live music, food & beverages, and community all while raising money for breast cancer.

The Doo Wop Project is street corner singing for a whole new generation. Their show begins at the beginning, tracing the evolution of Doo Wop from the classic sound of five guys singing tight harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits on the radio today.
Louise Nevelson is recognized as one of the most important sculptors of the twentieth century whose wood sculptures, painted in black or white, revolutionized artists’ ideas of what sculpture could be. This exhibition will feature signature examples of these works, drawn from the Farnsworth’s collection, the second largest collection of Nevelson’s work in the world.
