Walking Tour of Camden, Maine

The Camden Public Library and the Camden Downtown Business Group host free walking tours of downtown Camden every Friday at 4:00 pm from June 30 to September 8th. The tours begin at the Children’s Garden of the Camden Public Library on Atlantic Avenue and end at the Opera House. Take the entire tour or just show up at the Opera House front doors at 4:45 for a behind the scenes look at our beautiful restored interior and fun facts including a five minute historic slide show!

Benefit Concert – Lettuce

Maine native and founding member of the band Lettuce, saxophonist Ryan Zoidis, spearheads a benefit concert to help end child hunger in Maine. Join us on Portland’s waterfront this September 15 for Lettuce’s signature funk sound and a great cause featuring special guest Chali 2na with Percy Hill and Armies.

John Waite

John Waite returns with “The 40th Anniversary Tour” in 2017, promising an evening of songs, stories and Q&A. We are so excited to welcome him back and look forward to hearing his Number One Hits, “Missing You” and “When I See You Smile” which was performed while he was a member of the band, Bad English.

Trail to Ale 10K Race/Walk

Portland’s quintessential fall trail race, now in its 18th year. Join almost 2000 trail supporters and run or walk along Portland’s waterfront trails in their most glorious season. Registration opens online in early April.  There’s pizza, beer, yoga, massages, healthy snacks, and a DJ’d dance party to meet you at the finish line! Race starts at 9 am, party starts as soon as you cross the finish line!
