MECAmorphosis Runway Fashion Show

The Runway Fashion Show in the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) features work by students in our Textile & Fashion Design Program and raises critical support for MECA’s Student Scholarship Fund. The Textile & Fashion Design Program at MECA was created through a generous gift from Roxanne Quimby.

Daniel Bernard Roumaie: En Masse

Daniel Bernard Roumain—innovative composer, thrilling violinist, and fierce arts advocate—returns to Portland for an expansive musical spectacle that is part flash mob and part processional. Celebrating music and community, En Masse features an array of Maine musicians of all ages with Roumain as maestro and pied piper, leading a musical parade through the Arts District and culminating in a community jam.

Kennebunk Land Trust 18th Annual Auction

Kennbunk Land Trust’s Auction corresponds with The Kentucky Derby and therefore, this year’s theme will be Race For Conservation!  The Land Trust is going paperless and utilizing mobile/online bidding both before the auction and the night of the event. Lasansky Studio of Dance

40 dancers under the direction of Jimena Lasansky will perform 12 choreographed selections to music ranging from Strauss to Brahem. The program includes 6 premiers and favorite selections from the Lasansky Dance Theater Ensemble’s repertoire. Event is free and open to the public.

Claire Messud in Conversation with Richard Russo

New York Times best-selling novelist Claire Messud joins Pulitzer-Prize winning author Richard Russo for a lively conversation about books, writing and all things literary. DanceMaineia

DanceMaineia is based in Waldoboro and Damariscotta, Maine. Dancers ages 3 to sixty-something will perform pieces in classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary styles. Tickets available at Nobleboro Central School Friday, April 27th from 4:00-9:00pm, and at the door day of the performance. Adults $15, seniors and children under 12 $12.00.
