The Trek Across Maine is a 3-day, 180 mile cycling event from the mountains of Sunday River to the sea in Belfast. As the largest fundraising event of its kind in the nation for the American Lung Association, the Trek has raised more than $24 million in the past 30+ years. Join nearly 2,000 cyclists and 750 volunteers on this one of a kind journey on Father’s Day Weekend.

Kittery Block Party
Our focus is local, so what you see, hear and taste comes from the area. We’ll have children’s events, live entertainment throughout the day, demonstrations, educational exhibits and of course, great food. This event is sure to entice, educate, and entertain all ages. KBP is a rain or shine event, and there is no admission fee.
N.C. Wyeth: Poems of American Patriotism
n 1922, famed American illustrator Newell Convers (N.C.) Wyeth was commissioned to illustrate a new edition of Brander Matthews’ Poems of American Patriotism, a compilation of poems by various American authors first published in 1882. Matthews’ book was what he described as a “history of America as told by her poets,” containing “a collection of old Favorites.”
Maine Cancer Foundation Tri for a Cure
Each year, over a thousand women gather in South Portland to swim, bike & run as they Tri for a Cure in Maine’s only all-women’s triathlon. Founded in 2008 by Julie Marchese and Abby Bliss, the Tri for a Cure has become the largest triathlon in the state of Maine, providing a gorgeous race course alone the shores of Cape Elizabeth and South Portland. This event consists of a USAT-sanctioned 1/3 mile swim, a 15 mile bike ride and a 3 mile run.
Landmarks’ Annual Historic Gala
Celebrate historic preservation with Landmarks at our annual Gala held for the first time at a Places in Peril site, the Peaks Island Amusement District, which was a center for summer fun and recreation. Join us in “rusticator style” for a boat ride, a lobster feast, live music, live & silent auction, and open oyster & cocktail bars.
Summer Tasting Event with Miyake
Celebrate the beginning of summer with dinner with Masa Miyake and sunset at the Mallet Barn. Visit a variety of tasting stations and enjoy the freshest flavors of the season. This event is held at the historic Mallet Barn at Wolfe’s Neck Farm.
Collect Summer Art Sale
Maine College of Art presents Collect: MECA’s Summer Art Sale 2018 (June 28–30) a fundraiser in support of MECA’s Student Scholarship Fund. This three-day, salon-style extravaganza is a great opportunity to discover emerging artists, view new work by established artists, and build or add to an art collection. The art sale features a unique, diverse and unexpected array of original work in a variety of genres with a range of sizes, prices, and media, including furniture, sculpture, jewelry, paintings, prints, photography, textiles, drawings, and more.
The Ballroom Thieves
This hot rock band harnesses handsome harmonies and nimble, sturdy acoustic folk. Returning to the Camden Opera House by popular demand! The Ballroom Thieves fought through a year of tribulations with their sophomore album, 2016’s Deadeye, as their shield and sword. Only through continuing to write and perform together was the band, consisting of guitarist Martin Earley, cellis Cailin Peters, and drummer Devin Mauch, able to fend off their darker days.

The 2018 Garden Tour will feature several spectacular properties and private gardens in Cape Elizabeth and South Portland, Maine. All proceeds from tickets, program advertising, and sponsorships will benefit the Arboretum Project of the Fort Williams Park Foundation.
