Bowdoin International Music Festival
The Bowdoin International Music Festival is one of the world’s premiere music institutes. Founded in 1964, the Festival engages exceptional students and enthusiastic audiences through world-class education and performances. After a highly competitive admissions process, 250 students are invited to attend the Festival and study with distinguished faculty and guest artists. Audiences are invited to memorable performances by these artists and over 175 other free events such as student performances, composer lectures, masterclasses, community concerts, and family events. The Festival is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Scholarship Gala
Student scholarships provide critical support for gifted young musicians as they prepare for meaningful careers in music. The Bowdoin International Music Festival offers a new generation of artists a renowned program of music study and performance. Invest in the future of classical music by making a contribution to the Festival’s Scholarship Fund.
Maine Yoga Fest
Set overlooking Casco Bay in Portland, MYF is a two and a half day celebration led by our amazing Maine and New England yoga talent. The festival offers a diverse program of workshops allowing participants to try a wide range of yoga styles and techniques by a variety of teachers.
Midsummer Night’s Soiree
A beautiful evening of music, conversation, community and comedy! This intimate benefit concert, hosted by Vinegar Hill Music Theatre, will feature Gary Crocker, Maine Humorist, and the CIEE House Band. Benefits the Center for Grieving Children

You’ll also enjoy viewing the latest fashions by the Kimball Shop & Boutique, J. Mercantile. Its the summer event of the season for women on MDI, so come with a friend or two. 22nd Edition Road Race
Our 5K Run/Walk race route travels through scenic Downtown Kennebunk, Maine, and benefits the Kennebunk Free Library.
The race has grown since its start in 1998 with under 75 participants-now we’re eclipsing 600! The Kennebunk community rallies around this event with sponsorships, donating race day needs and by providing raffle items and services. Prizes are awarded to the first man and woman to finish in each of 6 age categories. Certificates of completion with finish times are available.
North Atlantic Blues Festival
The North Atlantic Blues Festival is an annual two-day blues music festival featuring national blues performers and considered one of the most prestigious on the East Coast. The festival is held at the Public Landing in Rockland, Maine, overlooking the picturesque Rockland Harbor. Some of the top names in blues music have been featured at this prestigious East Coast festival. In addition to all day live entertainment, the festival has vendors selling a wide array of food, drinks and crafts.
Farnsworth 2019 Summer Gala
Each year, the Farnsworth presents the Maine in America award at the summer gala. The award is presented by the Farnsworth to honor an individual or group who has made an outstanding contribution to Maine’s role in American art.
Cape Elizabeth Garden Tour
Ocean views, ornamental trees and shrubs, native plants, woodlands, raised beds, stone work, historical homes, and more – this self-guided tour of 8 private gardens promises to be one of the best! Register at the Children’s Garden in Fort Williams Park, Cape Elizabeth.
Proceeds benefit the Friends of Fort Williams Park, a non-profit organization whose Ecology Project controls damaging invasive plants and establishes sustainable plant communities at the Park. Finished sites support wildlife and provide natural spaces for visitors’ enjoyment.
