In 2017 the Farnsworth is presenting two major exhibitions featuring the work of women who have played important roles in twentieth-century American art, both of whom also had deep connections to Maine: Marguerite Zorach and Louise Nevelson.

Do good while doing breakfast. Hosted by Sea Dog Brewing Co. and Maine’s Champions of Breakfast. This annual event, often referred to as Maine’s best breakfast, will be held at South Portland Sea Dog with 100% proceeds donated to Preble Street.
Maine College of Art Lecture Series: Abelardo Morell
Abelardo Morell was born in Havana, Cuba in 1948. Morell received his undergraduate degree in 1977 from Bowdoin College and an MFA from The Yale University School of Art in 1981. In 1997 he received an honorary degree from Bowdoin College.
