When Lucas St. Clair was advocating for the creation of the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument he set up a card table at the East Millinocket dump and stood at the end of grocery store lines so he could hear people’s concerns and engage in dialogue. In his Maine Live talk, he shares his journey to protect and preserve this large swath of Maine’s North Woods and how he turned a grassroots effort into a movement that helped create Maine’s newest national monument.
