Dana Cleaves

Dana Cleaves is a former Maine Supreme Court Judge and mediator. Dana is engaged in the practice of mediation and private adjudication of family law matters under the name of Dana A. Cleaves Associates with offices in Portland. He received his undergraduate degree from Trinity College and his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law.  Dana served as Chief Judge of the Maine Administrative Court and Director of the Family Court Project until 1993 and was the initial recipient of the Maine State Bar Association’s Family Law Achievement Award. A founding member of Resources for Divorced Families and the Kids First Center, Dana is primarily engaged in assisting divorcing couples in completing the process in a manner that protects the best interests of their children.

Catherine Miller

Catherine Miller is the Founder of MILLER FAMILY LAW & MEDIATION, LLC, a law firm dedicated to helping individuals experiencing divorce and separation. Previously, Catherine was a partner with the firm of Givertz, Hambley, Scheffee & Lavoie, P.A. in Portland, Maine. Catherine is a graduate of Le Moyne College B.A. (1993) and the University of Maine School of Law, (J.D. 1997). She is the former chair of the Maine State Bar Association’s Family Law Section. She presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Kids First Center and the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation (CEEF). She frequently speaks on issues related to family law at non-profit organizations and Maine State Bar Association seminars. She is also a certified mediator.

Peg Libby

Peg Libby, was hired as the Executive Director of the Kids First Center when it opened in January 1998. It has been a dream job for her! Every day she truly feels as though she’s made a different is someone’s life, through co-parenting education programs for parents, support groups for kids and workshops and conferences for the professionals who work with separating/ divorcing/ and step families. Peg’s background is in fundraising, public relations and marketing. Before coming to Kids First Peg worked for 19 years in the development department of the Pine Tree Society. She is married, lives in Portland and has one grown son.
