Spencer Jones

Spencer Jones is General Manager of the Gateway Programs at CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange).

During his tenure at CIEE, Spencer has helped to institute scholarship programs disbursing more than $4 million each year to students from former Soviet republics, create thousands of paid teaching internships through the Teach Abroad program, develop the CIEE Applicant Interview, expand outbound high school and gap year programming, and develop insurance programs for students studying abroad. Spencer has lived and worked in Latin America, including Santiago, Chile, studied abroad in Chile and Italy during high school, and studied abroad in Spain during college. He has also been a host father for a student from Spain.
