Kevin Hancock

As president of Hancock Lumber Company, Kevin Hancock leads a sixth-generation family business that has operated since 1848. A graduate of Lake Region high School and Bowdoin College, Kevin travels often to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where he has connected with residents and key organizations. Kevin has created a nonprofit called “The Seventh Power” to support initiatives on the reservation. He recently published his book titled, Not For Sale: Finding Center in the Land of Crazy Horse, about his personal journey to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, as well as the history and modern day life of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
