Finding Voice, #98

If we have the strength to keep using our voices, we may have the chance to use it to help others—perhaps those who have no voice, or whose voices are not like ours. Our voice is our gift, and we can give it to others. Through the human voice, the breath of the world can flow.

Judith Cornell

Judith Cornell is an accredited teacher of the Alexander Technique with over 20 years of teaching experience. She is a member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique. Additionally, Judith is a classically-trained soprano who sang throughout New England, and who taught voice in the music departments of Bowdoin, Bates, and Colby colleges.

Cathy Plourde

Cathy Plourde

Cathy Plourde currently serves as the Program Director of Add Verb, a health and wellness education initiative at the University of New England that uses theatre as the central device. Add Verb has been at UNE since 2011, but was founded in 2000 and has presented Cathy Plourde plays in schools, colleges, conferences, and trainings in 35 states to over 150,000 people. Works have been commissioned by such groups as the Knox County Coalition Against Tobacco; Mainely Girls; Where the Girls Are; Maine Womens Fund; Planned Parenthood Network of Northern New England; Boys To Men.
