Eliot Cutler

Eliot Cutler has forged a 40-year career marked by success in government service, law and business. As an aide to Senator Edmund Muskie, he helped craft the Clean Air Act, the Water Pollution Control Act and the National Environmental Policy. He was an independent candidate for Maine governor in 2010, finishing second by a margin of 9,000 votes; his 36.3% of the votes was the highest percentage of any independent candidate for major office in the United States in 2010.
