Elisa Boxer
Elisa Boxer, Children’s Health Advocate and Emmy-winning journalist, found herself at the center of a story that changed her life and set her on a path to protect children from toxins in everyday products. After Elisa and her son became seriously ill from exposure to chemicals in new building materials, Elisa became a nationally-recognized environmental health advocate, taking on the chemical industry and helping to pass laws that strengthen Maine’s toxics policies. She serves on the board of directors of the Natural Resources Council of Maine and True North health Center. Elisa is also the founder of the Smart Meter Safety Coalition and is in training to become a certified yoga instructor, with a focus on helping people heal from chronic illness and injury.
