Jen Rohde

Jen Rohde is the Founding Council Director of Girls on the Run Maine.   Bringing a Girls on the Run Council to Maine has been the culmination of many passions for Jen.  As a former juvenile justice defender, mentor to teens, women’s running coach, mom to four young children and a competitive road racer for over 20 years, she is a firm believer in the transformative qualities of exercise and role modeling.

In the Fall of 2012, Jen embarked on an adventure, leading a Steering Committee through the process of creating the Maine council. Jen brought a group together, applied to Girls on the Run International, and established GOTR-ME as its own 501©3, Jen was then voted in as the first Council Director based on her hard work, infectious enthusiasm, and amazing initiative.
