Jonathan Laurence of The REEL project (TRP) is dedicated to connecting people and transforming lives through art, technology, information and opportunity. The REEL Project a multifaceted organization. Their first mandate is to produce humanitarian films for various populations in need in post-conflict areas of the developing world. They work towards creating culturally relevant films that not only provide information, but that are also engaging works of art. When they come across a population in need of some type of vital information, whether it is news about a refugee repatriation process, or messages from family and friends separated by war, they help to provide that information. The REEL Project works both independently and in partnerships with other international and local organizations on the ground. In addition to their use of media for humanitarian purposes, they work to support the creative ideas, educational initiatives, and business aspirations of local people in the communities where we film.
