Something to Do:
SPACE Gallery in Portland is debuting its latest exhibition Paint Pals! this Friday as a part of the First Friday Art Walk! Featuring the work of Maine artists Rachel Gloria Adams, Ryan Adams, Bee Daniel, Spenser Macleod, and Kelly Rioux, Paint Pals! celebrates the enduring friendships shared amongst the group and their collaborations over the years, and highlights their current murals. The opening reception is Friday evening and featureslive music by Portland DJ Double Dessert.

Ready for a walk in the woods? This Sunday, head into the great outdoors for a Walk with a Forester at the Curtis Homestead Demonstration Forest in Leeds! District forester Julie Davenport will take participants on a guided tour around the conservation area, during which she will talk about forest management practices, tree identification, and land use history. Learn how to manage the woodlands around your home for future generations to enjoy!

Are you a big Rosemont Market fan? This Saturday, the beloved local chain is opening its newest location in Scarborough, a shared storefront with Harbor Fish Market! Make sure to stop by for the daylong grand opening celebration, which includes 20 percent off all Rosemont-made products, a kombucha tasting with Root Wild, an ice cream social with Dear Dairy, and two wine tastings with Devenish Wines and Vinum USA. Be sure to bring your appetite!

This one’s for all the beer lovers out there: this Saturday, Bangor on Tap is returning to the Queen City at the Cross Insurance Center (which you may recognize from the famous Paul Bunyan statue out front) with 86 beers from breweries across the state on tap! Choose between general admission, which includes a three-hour tasting slot at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. and a souvenir sampling glass, or VIP, which features a four-hour tasting at 5 p.m. and includes a sampling glass, hat, and food voucher. Grab your (21 and older) friends and get drinking!

Something to Watch:
For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the Nordica Theatre in Freeport is reopening this Friday and Saturday to help host the Bates Film Festival! Free to the public, each day will feature screenings starting at 10 a.m., including The Worst Person in the World, Tron, and The Gravedigger’s Wife. Check out the full lineup, and start mapping out your movie dates!
